Konzi- we are craving for that actually

In these posts I will share the current happenings and communications that are coming from the people in Kenya.

As soon as I returned home, I knew that I would need to make this blog and that I would be sharing the story, so I asked Konzi (the brother) to ask his parents to recall and send the words of parting that they sent with us.  I included them in the Kenya Seeds backstory.

In the days that followed, the church members gathered around Mwangangi's family, surprised and amazed that someone from the US had come, and that we have similar churches, according to their prophecy.  They were apparently quite upset that they had missed it, since we could only stay for such a short time.  They blamed Kiaruuh for not telling them that we were coming, but he insisted that he didn't know, and that I came without warning so there was nothing else that could have been done about it.  They have all been pleading that I come back, and bring others so that we can talk about our church with them.  They have said that with preparation, a large number of people will be there to listen, so that our churches might "come together" according to God's will.  Here are some of the messages that I have gotten since coming home:

Konzi (who lives next door to father Mwangangi, and represents both of them when he messages):

Christin Francom Shumway Have you also shared the experiences with your people? Are you and the elders reading the Book of Mormon?

Konzi: yah and they are missing to see you face to face and talk more.

Christin Francom Shumway: are you and your father reading and enjoying the book of Mormon? Do you feel God's spirit of truth as you read it and pay about it?

Konzi: yes but am not yet through the book

Did your evening with the elders go well? (I didn't get a call that night-) so I would enjoy knowing how things are going from there?

Two days ago I shared the Kenya story to around 100 people, but many of them were youth because it was a youth seminary gathering. They took some beans and shared thanks and gratitude and that they felt the spirit strongly in it.

Please tell me what responses you are seeing from your church, and what your father is feeling, and what you are thinking and feeling too.

Yesterday I shared your words with many of our people, all of the local branch (ward) that we attend. Thank you. We have a strong testimony of that book of Mormon, that it is the word of God, and it gives us strength like the bible does. It gives us so much joy that you have it, and that God speaks to you also about the truth of it. Many of my people say hello and ask so many questions, are so interested in your people, who are our brothers and sisters under God.

We all can feel of the faith of your people, and how much you love God. We love God too and we look forward to becoming closer to our brothers and sisters in Kenya.
